Conducting Group Study to Bridge Difficulty in Accounting among Grade 11 ABM Strand Students on Bestlink College of the Philippines, S.Y. 2019–2020

Abstract

This research focused on some students who have problems or difficulty in accounting topics, such as journal entries, bookkeeping, and financial statements. Hence, some students do not know how to analyze and solve problems. The purpose of this study was to conduct a group study among Accountancy, Business, and Management Strandstudents to review, revise, and recall the topics that they do not understand in Bestlink College of the Philippines. The researchers used to define the descriptive method as the research design. The instruments used in this research were a random sampling survey and questionnaire to gather data. The researchers applied various related literature and studies that were both local and foreign. The finished final draft was validated by the research teacher. The researchers used a weighted mean to ensure the validity and reliability of the results. The researchers concluded the reasons why most students are struggling/have difficulty in solving problems and analyzing transactions. The students who have difficulty in accounting can attend a group study to improve their knowledge. The study revealed that most students are experiencing difficulties in accounting because they are shy in class, lazy, and have family problems. This research may lead to the nonparticipation of the student in making assignments, having low grades in quizzes, and poor performance in class.
