Abstract

The study focused on the advantages of recycling plastic bottles into a trashcan in the proper disposal of garbage in Grade 12 ABM students in Bestlink College of the Philippines. Recycling is the best thing to do to help the environment. It also helps the students to be more creative in making a new product by using waste materials. The researchers used qualitative method of research, which is a type of social science research that collects and works with non-numerical data and seeks to interpret meaning from these data that help understand social life through the study of targeted populations or places. Decrease in garbage is one of the benefits of the proper disposal of recyclable plastic bottles in a trashcan. Most of the respondents strongly agree that using plastic bottles to make trashcan can decrease the amount of garbage. It will also decrease the burning of garbage and can help the person who collects garbage. Some of the respondents agree we can make something useful out of garbage. This study shows the amount of plastic bottle waste that can be useful in every classroom of the school. This study shows some factors that can be used to reduce the amount of bottle waste in school to help the environment.
