Level of Acceptability of Ampalaya Pandesal

The researchers know that ampalaya pandesal is not that popular or trending here in our country. Ampalaya is relatively under-related because it is used only in common house dishes such as pinakbet and munggo. However, did you hear about Ampalaya pandesal? Usually, we can see cheese-flavored or malunggay-flavored pandesal or simple and regular pandesal. When you hear about ampalaya pandesal, one thing that pops up in your mind is the bitter taste of ampalaya. The bitterness of ampalaya is the main reason why most children hate ampalaya. The researcher used quantitative research and survey questionnaires to determine the level of acceptability of ampalaya pandesal. A total of 60 respondents were selected from the HE department, 50 of which are students and the remaining 10 are HE teachers. The researchers found out that the teachers and students agreed regarding the aroma of the product. The two groups of respondents strongly agreed regarding the nutritional value, presentation, and the overall factors of ampalaya pandesal. Ampalaya pandesal is good to eat during breakfast. Most Filipinos are likely to eat their breakfast. Ampalaya pandesal contains several nutrients and vitamins that our body needs. Some people also recommend that adding cheese to the bread as toppings, which may add additional taste and nutrients to the consumers.
