English language has been commonly accepted as a universal language worldwide. People who study English language consider it as their personal proficiency. English is the most widely used language as a means of communication worldwide. Thus, people should learn English particularly in the Philippines. The way English is taught is focused on the ability of learners to master the four language skills, namely, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Many students who have studied for six or more years of second or foreign language are still unable to express themselves in a clear, correct, and comprehensible manner in the target language through the four skills. Due to the complicated nature of writing activities, many students tend to face constraints in developing their writing skill. The descriptive method was used in this study. This study aimed to focus on students experiencing difficulties in their creative writing skills among Grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM)students in Bestlink College of the Philippines. A descriptive study determines and reports the way things are. It comprises the data of all students and presents facts regarding the nature and status of anything. It is concerned with the circumstances of the relationship that happened. The respondents were 50 selected Grade 12 ABM students in Bestlink College of the Philippines, A.Y. 2019–2020. The focus of this study was to improve their writing skills and boost their self-confidence in Bestlink College of the Philippines. The respondents agreed having difficulties with correct grammar, correct spelling, structuring ideas effectively, generating ideas or elaborating on them, and fluidity in cursive writing. The students were challenged in writing, such as a structure of an idea, plagiarism, unfamiliar topic, awkward phrasing, end conventional grammar, and perfectionism. Having writing contest will push the students to improve their writing skills. They understand more in writing, thereby improving their reading comprehension and enhancing complexity and coherence. This phenomenon resulted in greater clarity of written and oral language. Students can master English spelling by improving their writing skills through joining weekly writing contests to read regularly, improving their grammar, and creating an outline and subtopics.
