Abstract

Local area network (LAN) is extremely popular. It is used for global telecommunication. The researchers indicated that the teachers were extremely busy with their work, such as recording grades and preparing their lessons. In this research, the researchers concluded that having a LAN in the ICT Faculty will help ICT teachers lessen the work, enhance data transfer, and secure the data. To gather qualitative data, the researchers interviewed ICT teachers who face problems. Without having a LAN in the faculty and some ICT teacher, teachers have a hard time doing teaching-related tasks. The time of the ICT teachers will be conserved. ICT teachers can transfer and receive data as easily and fast as possible. Having a LAN can also lessen the work of ICT teachers and the strand head. Moreover, the server will be a great help in managing the computer laboratory by making the applications easier to manage, monitor information and files shared, and do technical tasks (printing, searching, etc.) more conveniently.
