Library System for Canumay East National High School

Abstract

At present, everyone uses technology every day. In particular, in work, technology makes work easy and fast. The researchers observed that Canumay East National High School has a problem with its current library system. Thus, the researchers came up with this project to overcome its problems. The researcher created a library system to make the work of the librarian easy, that is, it will be easy to borrow a book and it will be more secured for all data. This system is a computerized one, which is faster and easier than manual. The method that the researchers used was the systems development life cycle method or waterfall model. This method included a detailed plan for how to develop, alter, and maintain a computerized library system. In this method, the researchers gathered data by conducting surveys and interviews, analyzed the system, designed the system, determined how they develop the system, tested it to avoid errors, implemented it, and maintained it to ensure its accuracy. The researchers successfully developed the computerized library system, which is a secure, accessible, and accurate system. The manual library system of Canumay East National High School was directly replaced with the computerized library system. It is difficult for the librarian to search for a book, have a record of the transaction in the library, and manage books. However, with the use of the computerized library system, the librarian can now easily manage the library and search for a book. This system had a login form to make sure that only authorized personnel can use the system to prevent losing and tricking data. This system has a search bar to search where the book is located. This system also had a record feature to know the due date of returning books. This system also has a transaction feature to make borrowing of books fast and accurate. Lastly, this system had a print feature to print all the records of borrowing books, lists of books, and lists of students. Now, the library system of Canumay East National High School will provide better service to the students.
