Abstract

One of the ripple effects of the stiff competition for education institutes is the growing necessity for schools to enhance their mechanism for better serving. This is where enrollment systems come into play, accelerating student enrolment. The researchers chose this study because they experience the long process of the manual system. Divine Trinity Learning Academy is a good candidate for the project because of the lack of a computer system within the school. The researchers come up with the solution to solve the problem within the Computerized Enrollment System. The systems development life cycle is a concept model that is used in project management; it consists of seven stages planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. An interview is one of the main methods of data gathering that the researchers used to determine some problems that the clients encounter during the enrollment and provide possible solutions. The researchers ensured that the design of the system is suitable and easy to recognize, thereby ensuring that the system is functioning as expected and that the user will have proper training and maintenance. After implementing the proposed system, the researcher observed a significant result to the following problems: producing many papers, scheduling, lack of security, and printing of school documents. The solution that the researchers came up with in the first problem is to create a computerized registration form to lessen the used paper that resulted in the minimum number of papers use within the enrollment. For the second problem, the researchers provided a scheduling system that will be the fastest way of creating student’s schedules, thereby resulting in the fast creation of schedules. For the third problem, the researchers provided a backup file to have a better way of compiling data with the help of a database and a login form, thereby enhancing information security where the client has a backup file to prevent data loss or corruption. For the fourth problem, the researcher provided a printing system that resulted in the fastest and easy way to create documents. The researcher concluded that conducting a research project is difficult. However, creating such a project helped the researcher develop their skills and character in developing a difficult project. The researchers recommended creating an online enrollment system to develop an advanced system that will help future students.
