Abstract

Gregorio Grills at Muñoz Avenue Quezon City is a stall owned by Mrs. Jocelyn Cabbat and her son Mr. Gregorio Cabbat. Their stall offers delicious meals and flavorful milk tea with a yummy snack for the afternoon. This stall was established on September 1, 2019. The objective of the stall was to provide affordable and delicious foods to all people. The researchers offered the owners a “point of sale system,” wherein the merchant calculates the amount to be paid by the customer, indicates the amount, and indicates the options for the customer to make payment. The automated point-of-sale system will also help Gregorio Grills secure all the records and give printed and accurate receipts to the customers. The objective of the developer of the point-of-sale system was to improve and enhance the researchers’ skills and experience as ICT students by designing the system that will help Gregorio Grills to increase the speed of the transaction of their business. The proponents utilized thesystems development life cycle in developing the system. The point of sale system flows in seven processes. The first phase was planning. The researchers planned and decided to develop a point-of-sale system. The researchers interviewed the client, and survey questionnaires were also administered to determine the present situation of the stall processes in their transaction with their customers. The researchers designed a system that can be easily understood by the user. The next phase was the implementation of the proposed system. The researchers ensured that the system will properly work and assure the client that the developed point of sale system will be of great use to the client, with the ease of transaction as a concern. The researchers developed the following deliverables. (1) Login form is for the administrators of the company to secure all the finances and the data collected POS. (2) Registration form is for the user who wants to create an account in the POS. (3) The main form is where all the computation of the transactions and printing of payments is collected. The automated point of sale system was designed to compute the purchased items easily and making receipts needed by the customer and lessening time in queue. This system only focused on the computation of the bill of orders. Upgrading and innovating are the key factors for the most efficient and convenient system.
