Feasibility Study on Establishment of Eminence Catering Services in Santa Maria–Tungkong Mangga Road, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan

Catering is the business of providing food services on a certain site, such as a hotel, hospital, pub, aircraft, cruise ship, park, filming site, studio, entertainment site, and event venue. Through the years of innovation and technology, the needs of Filipinos have changed over time. Hence, several merchants such as one-step shops, fast-food chains, and catering services are continuously growing. Therefore, the proponents have planned to create a catering service with a samgyeopsal bar that will help the people in organizing and planning their event. The researchers did experimental food tasting of roasted chicken with Valenciana and samgyeopsal to ensure product viability in the market. Random people were surveyed to ask for their suggestions and opinions about the product, place, price, and promotional strategies to make Eminence Catering feasible and viable to enter into such business. Afterward, group discussion and brainstorming were conducted by the proponents. Related studies and industry reviews were also performed. The researchers surveyed 50 respondents to validate their socioeconomics characteristics, such as age, sex, educational level, and weekly budget. According to the survey, 40% of the respondents were aged 26 to over 30 years old. The majority of the respondents were professionals who have their own families. Although 54% of the respondents were single, 40% were married and have stable jobs. A total of 46% of the respondents said that they organize an event only once a year, while 38% of the respondents gather twice a year. Birthday is the most preferred event for catering service, garnering 86% response with a buffet set up. Regarding budget, 52% of the respondents have a budget preference for catering services, that is, ranging from P20,000 to P25,000. After related studies and surveys were conducted, the proponents were confident that Eminence Catering can penetrate its prospective market after taking into consideration the chosen location in Tungkong Mangga, San Jose Del Monte due to fewer security risks on the part of owners and customers. Meanwhile, to further penetrate the market, the main focus of the proponents was to ensure its viability in the market with a strong marketing campaign to increase Eminence Catering’sbrand awareness. Overall, the financial stability for the business to operate is sustainable after taking into consideration proper budgeting and forecasting.
