Classroom Environment: Its Impact on the Academic Performance of Selected Grade 12 GAS Students of Bestlink College of the Philippines

The goal of this study is to know the impact of the classroom environment on the Academic Performance of selected Grade 12 GAS Students of Bestlink College of the Philippines. The purpose of this study was to know their background or experience with a positive classroom environment. A classroom environment should be conducive to the learning process. This study used quantitative descriptive research as the research design, which will elaborate on the recommendations to be taken for the classroom environment and academic performance. The study also utilized a purposive sampling to choose 50 General Academic Strand students to assess the classroom environment and its impact on the academic performance of the students. The classroom environment has an impact on academic performance with a weighted mean of 3.16 from male respondents and 2.86 from female respondents, both of which had a verbal interpretation of agree. In terms of cleanliness, data obtained a weighted mean of 4.02 from male respondents and 3.28 from female respondents, both of which were interpreted as agree. With a weighted mean of 3.4 from male respondents and 4.5 from female respondents, both agreed that the noise inside and outside the classroom affects the academic performance of the students. With a weighted mean of 3.4 from male respondents and 4 from female respondents, both agreed that ventilation has an impact on the academic performance of Grade 12 students. Based on the findings of the study and the conclusion drawn, the following recommendations were forwarded: prevent loud noises and improve the facilities of the school by providing additional fans and light to make the classroom environment more conducive to learning.
