One of the problems in Bestlink College of the Philippines is the challenges encountered by the students in theirResearch subject. Research is an activity of getting information about a subject. Research is a part of the curriculum that needs to be fulfilled as a component for the completion of a degree. There are unexpected difficulties and problems encountered in doing research, such as lack of time, limited background knowledge, financial support, mental stress, and insufficient research ideas. We conducted this study because we want future researchers to be aware of the challenges that they will encounter in their Research subject. This study used a quantitative descriptive research design that will elaborate on the recommendations to be taken by the challenges encountered by the students in their research subject. Purposive sampling was utilized to select 50 General Academic Strand students. The challenges encountered by the students in their research subject in terms of the financial aspect had a weighted mean of 3.25 for male respondents, with a verbal interpretation of agree, and 4 for female respondents, with the verbal interpretation of strongly agree. In terms of group members, the weighted means for male and female respondents were 4.27 and 3.75, respectively, with a verbal interpretation of strongly agree. In terms of the time of submission of the manuscript, the weighted means of male and female respondents were 4.12 and 3.8, with the verbal interpretation of strongly agree. In terms of teachers’ teaching strategies, male and female respondents had the weighted means of 4.05 and 4.07, respectively, with a verbal interpretation of both strongly agree. In terms of the challenges encountered by the students in their Research subject in terms of financial, group members, time of submission of the manuscript, and teachers’ teaching strategies, the overall weighted means were 3.92 for male respondents and 3.90 for female respondents, with an interpretation of both strongly agree. The findings of this study and the conclusion drawn, the following recommendations were forwarded. We suggested that they should think about what is more important, pick members that can help develop the topic, and select a member who regularly goes to school and is responsible. They should also choose a member that is good enough to do the assigned work. One of the problems of every student is time; hence, so we recommended that when the teachers assign a task, the students should do it as early as possible to avoid procrastination.
