This subject can help students because it serves as their guide in creating/conducting research. The researchers conducted this study to know the level of effectiveness of the research guidebook and template in studying research. Quantitative-descriptive research method and purposive sampling were utilized to choose 50 General Academics Strand students to determine the level of effectiveness of the research guidebook and template. The overall weighted mean of grade 12 students was 3.96, and that for research teacher was 3.70, which both strongly agreed that the content, output achievement, and guide of the research guidebook and template were effective in studying research. Based on the finding of the study and the conclusion drawn, the following recommendation was forwarded to improve the level of effectiveness of research guidebook. Examples and guides should be included to make the research. The teachers should also give activities to allow students to memorize the type of research. The teachers should also make sure that the research guidebook is updated and the content is understandable. Hence, the content, output achievement, and guide to the level of effectiveness of the research guidebook are effective in studying research.
