Time Management: Its Impact on Academic Performance of Selected Grade 12 Students in Bestlink College of the Philippines

One of the problems of the General Academic Strand students in Bestlink College of the Philippines is how to manage their time, which causes lower grades and low academic performance. The researchers conducted this study to determine time management. Quantitative research was used in the research design for the study. The researchers also utilized population sampling to selected respondents who assessed the impact of time management in terms of attendance, setting priorities, and submission of activities/projects. The study used an instrument survey questionnaire conducted by the researchers to gather data from the two groups of respondents. The results showed that attendance obtained the overall weighted means of 3.44 for male respondents and 3.40 for female respondents, both of which have a verbal interpretation of agree. Setting priorities obtained the overall weighted mean of 3.25 for male respondents, with the verbal interpretation of agree, and 3.72 for female respondents, with the verbal interpretation of strongly agree. Submission of the activities/projects obtained the overall weighted means of 3.28 for male respondents, with the verbal interpretation of agree, and 3.62 for female respondents, with the verbal interpretation of strongly agree. The results of the study in terms of attendance, setting priorities, and submission of activities/projects are highly acceptable as assessed by 50 General Academic Strand students of Bestlink College of the Philippines. The subsequent discussions forwarded by the two groups of respondents are as follows: attendance classes, do the most important task first, and do the task as early as possible. The researchers need to focus on giving more relative advice on how to manage the time accordingly.
