Benefits of Utilizing Research Guide in Grade 12 HUMSS Strand Students in Bestlink College of the Philippines

Research is a systematic inquiry that is used to describe or explain some phenomenon. This study wanted to research utilizing the research guide provided by the Bestlink College of the Philippines for students to improve their skills and find opportunities to present and publish the ideas in developing their creativity, problem-solving skills, and intellectual independence. Utilizing a research guide generally takes specific questions and tries to find definitions and a comprehensive answer. Descriptive method design will be used in this study to determine the benefits of utilizing the research guide in Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. The researcher will utilize the random sampling technique to select 89 HUMSS students of this study. To gather the data needed, the researcher used survey questionnaires. The researchers used the weighted mean formula of the statistical treatment of data to address the perception of the respondents. Results show that the respondents agreed with the benefits of utilizing the research guide in terms of gain knowledge, with an average weighted mean of 4.03. It enhances our learning and research construction skills,with the average weighted mean of 4.01 because it develops our critical-thinking and leadership skills. The benefits of utilizing the research guide may trigger the study habit of the students regarding conducting research. It helps develop the learning skills of the student. The researcher suggested that the students need to focus and learn from some research guide books and understand the proper research format.
