Proposed POS System for KPCG Computer Trading

Abstract

It is a website application specializing in supporting the day-to-day operations within KPCG computer Trading to speed up the configuration of the items within the KPCG Store. A POS and inventory system is used to control and track the transfer and storage of items in the KPCG Store. The system involves several processes that are important when receiving or even storing items. This system makes running a KPCG Store efficient and easy by knowing exactly where every item is, knowing if an item is broken, and how many items are in the store. These processes seem easy, but proper configuration to keep things inside the KPCG Store organized. The researchers used the waterfall process to complete this project. In the system planning stage, the group started to plan how to complete their project. In the requirement analysis, the system analyst interviewed the client. In the system design stage, the programmer started to write down the code and design the system. In the system implementation stage, the researchers implemented their project to the client. In the system maintenance stage, the client suggested updating their system, or the system itself needs to be updated to become a modern system. Using this process, the researchers helped KPCG Computer Trading to sort equipment and tools. The researchers developed a successful system that has a login page, a registration page with activation code, a home page where the admin can input and add data to the database, and subpages where the user can see the information of a specific item. The POS and inventory system focuses only on sorting equipment and tools of KPCG Computer. There are many innovative systems developed by a professional programmer instead of manually sorting items. Some are focused on how many products are sold and in stock, some are focuses on how many products are received, and some are focused on the sale and calculation of how many products are available.
