Abstract

The Philippines is known to be abundant in natural resources that can be found in the surroundings. The resources that are naturally gifted to the nation can produce goods that can be introduced to acceptable goods of the country which can be an economic livelihood and a source of income. Each region develops their own delicacies throughout the history. No party or celebration is complete without these Filipino desserts. The country is also known for its delicious food. Among these foods are what we call "kakanin". Kakanin or Native Delicacies are integral part of the Filipino food culture. These are sweet munchies or sometimes desserts made from rice, sweet rice or root vegetables that are slow cooked and usually made with coconut or coconut milk. These ingredients are abundant in the country and since its cost are low; anybody can make a dessert for occasion. Filipino cuisines are unique and original which suits the taste and sweet tooth of Filipinos. They can be very sweet and they are always favorites for the young and old alike. A lot of them show the Spanish influence in the country.Survey questionnaire. It is very essential to know the demand of the products in order to answer the customer needs and wants. Knowing the demand will help us to determine the trend for their products. Analyzing the demand thoroughly will give the projection of the total number of quantity of each product thatthey are going to produce daily, weekly, monthly, and annually.The result shows that forty five percent of the respondents said that they eat in Food parks when their outside while thirty three percent of the respondents said that they eat at Food chainsand eleven percent of the respondents that they eat in Fine dining and also eleven percent of the respondents said that they eat at Buffet restaurant. This result implies that there is a big fraction that the researchers’ product will be viable to the target consumers.Based on the information gathered by the researchers, the findings show that one hundred percent of the respondents said that they find taste sweet and they are willing to add some leche plan than a puto. According to Michael Krondi's. Puto is usually eaten as a merienda a light meal or snack especially in the afternoon, but can also be eaten for breakfast with coffee or hot chocolate but it is best serve with 'Dinuguan' as a hefty afternoon merienda.
