Abstract

The research proposal aims to evaluate the responsiveness of Police Station 16 in addressing help-related emergencies within Barangay Pasong Putik, Quezon City. This study will focus on several critical factors:  Staffing Levels: Assessing whether the current number of personnel meets the demands of the community. Training Programs: Evaluating the adequacy of training provided to officers, especially in handling diverse emergencies. Communication Systems: Reviewing the effectiveness of communication tools and protocols in emergency response. Community Engagement Initiatives: Investigating the station's involvement with the local community and its impact on responsiveness. Barangay Pasong Putik is a densely populated area with unique security challenges. According to the 2020 census, the population of Pasong Putik Proper was 39,896, reflecting a growth from 35,135 in 2015. Understanding these challenges is essential for tailoring effective policing strategies. The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) emphasizes its mission to enforce laws, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order, and ensure public safety with active community support.   Recent studies highlight the need for specialized training for officers, particularly those exposed to public interactions during health emergencies like COVID-19. Moreover, the importance of police visibility in crime prevention has been underscored, noting that professionalism and swift responses are vital in maintaining public trust and safety.   Community relations efforts are also a focus, with regular accomplishment reports showcasing the station's activities and engagements within Barangay Pasong Putik.   By identifying strengths and areas for improvement in these domains, your study aims to provide actionable recommendations. Implementing these can enhance the safety and well-being of Barangay Pasong Putik residents and offer insights for other communities facing similar challenges. This study, titled "Research Design and Methodology," outlines the systematic approach employed to assess the responsiveness of Police Station 16 to help-related emergencies in Barangay Pasong Putik. This chapter encompasses several key components:  Research Design  A descriptive-correlational research design was adopted to systematically observe and analyze the existing conditions without manipulating variables. This approach facilitated the examination of relationships between various factors influencing police responsiveness, such as staffing levels, training programs, communication systems, and community engagement initiatives. This chapter presents the tables, along with the analysis and interpretation of the data collected by the researchers. It encompasses the profiles of the respondents, the survey questions, and the statistical methods employed in the study. This chapter provides a summary and conclusion based on the findings of the study aimed at identifying the challenges faced by the community, Barangay officials, and PNP personnel. The analysis will encompass various elements, including crime rates, community involvement, emergency responsiveness, and the general public perception.
