Quality Measures Responding Food Budget of Persons Deprived of Liberty in Valenzuela City Jail

Food quality measures are one of the indispensable qualities of a jail. The Philippines is facing poverty for the past few years; hence, our country is suffering different acts of violence that lead to imprisonment. Consequently, the number of prisoners is increasing rapidly. As a result, different jails in the Philippines are suffering from a shortage of yearly budgets for the maintenance of facilities, especially for the basic needs of the persons deprived of liberty (PDLs). The researchers conducted discussed the method and procedures of the research to gather the needed data. The discussion will contain the research design, description of the respondents, sampling techniques, instrument use, construction, validation, administration, and retrieval of these instruments. The statistical treatment of data will be employed in the study. The results of the study showed the following. 1) The quality measures responding to the food budget for the PDLs in Valenzuela City Jail were good according to the respondents, wherein the jail has enough food supply and has proper handling of food in their kitchen. 2) Valenzuela City has proper monitoring of its kitchen supply. 3) The PDLs in Valenzuela City Jail is still healthy and receive proper food. 4) Valenzuela City Jail also receives P75,000 worth of sack of rice per month. 5) Valenzuela City Jail has enough food handlers in their kitchen area. The results yielded by the questionnaires will be tallied and interpreted. To determine the personal profile of the respondents and the solution offer, the frequency and percentage distribution will be applied.
