Abstract

Research is the heart of progress. Undeniably, the quality of life we experience right now is an outcome of every research endeavor. As a student, it is a rewarding experience to contribute to the development of our nation and the world through intellect and determination. Research makes one a thinking individual who is ready to take on a higher, wider, and deeper perspective. To overcome this struggle and become a productive citizen of our country, it is necessary to consider some factors that affect the learning of a student; failing to learn these things may affect the academic excellence of a student and the development of the country as a whole. This research used a qualitative method to determine the factors that affect the learning of students in their Research subject. The researchers also administered a survey questionnaire to gather information from selected Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences Strand students at Bestlink College of the Philippines; the researchers used purposive sampling to determine the number of respondents.
