Abstract

This survey research was done to compare the effectiveness of online learning and the modular learning modality in the context of the New Normal among Maligaya Elementary School Grade VI students during the academic year 2022–2023. The researchers utilized the descriptive method and correlational method. Through the process of purposive sampling, fifty (50) students were selected to participate in the study. The major instrument used for gathering data was survey questionnaire. The data gathered were analyzed using Frequency and Percentage Distribution, Weighted Mean, Spearman rho, and T-test to test the significance of R-value.

The researchers realize that the online learning is effective for teachers and students. Online learning helps them focus on their studies. This also allows them to cooperate when they have activities and communicate via online communications using gadgets. However, there is no significant difference between online and modular learning in terms of content, strategies, and challenges because all the variables are effective in the teachers and students to the use of online using gadgets, and modular using modules.
