Barangay Catmon in Sitio 6, Malabon City, continues to face significant challenges due to the prevalence of domestic violence. This issue not only affects individual households but also compromises the safety and well-being of the entire community. Deeply rooted cultural norms and societal expectations often discourage victims from reporting abuse, reinforcing a cycle of silence, fear, and social stigma. This study aims to assess the effects of domestic violence on the physical, psychological, and economic well-being of affected individuals in the area and identify potential community-based solutions. This study uses a descriptive research design with a purposive sampling technique. A total of seventy (70) respondents were selected, consisting of ten (10) police officers, ten (10) barangay personnel, and fifty (50) community residents from Barangay Catmon, Sitio 6, Malabon City. Data were collected using survey questionnaires and unstructured interviews. To ensure the accuracy and validity of the instrument, the researchers consulted professionals to refine the content of the data-gathering tools. The findings revealed that the majority of respondents were female, aged 51 and above, single, college-educated, and from low-income households. Participants reported severe effects of domestic violence. Physically, victims experienced injuries such as bruises, lacerations, and fractures. Psychologically, they suffered from recurring flashbacks, anxiety, and sleep disturbances. Economically, victims faced job loss and financial instability, leading to difficulties in accessing basic needs such as food and healthcare. Debt accumulation further intensified their economic burden. The study confirmed that domestic violence has profound physical, psychological, and economic consequences. Respondents generally "Agreed" on the significant impact of these effects. As a response, the researchers proposed an action program focused on comprehensive awareness campaigns, improved support services, and community interventions. These efforts aim to educate residents on identifying signs of abuse and provide accessible resources to support victims, fostering a safer and more responsive community environment.
