Abstract

E-commerce significantly enhances business profitability and operational efficiency. However, logistical challenges, such as inadequate shipment monitoring, can negatively impact customer satisfaction. The goal of this project is to improve the logistics framework of Far East Café by creating an E-commerce Logistics Management System. This system will include features such as document tracking for greater accuracy and visibility, a vehicle reservation module to optimize transport scheduling, GPS-based route optimization to reduce travel time and costs, and real-time traffic monitoring to avoid delays. These integrated features are designed to streamline delivery operations. The system was developed using the Agile Scrum approach, allowing for continuous improvement through iterative sprints lasting two to four weeks. This methodology enabled regular feedback from stakeholders and supported ongoing development. The process included several key stages: initial planning, gathering stakeholder information, designing the system architecture, programming, testing, deployment, and continuous evaluation.   The main features of the system include document tracking, which enhances logistics visibility and reduces errors; a vehicle reservation module that streamlines transport scheduling and resource allocation; and GPS-based route optimization with real-time traffic updates. The implemented system significantly improved operational efficiency by minimizing supply delays. Real-time traffic monitoring allowed for the identification of optimal delivery routes, leading to reduced fuel consumption. Document tracking decreased errors, improved decision-making, and strengthened accountability in logistics operations. Additionally, features such as real-time notifications, estimated delivery reports, and supplier tracking improved communication. Feedback from stakeholders played a vital role in improving system functionality and optimizing the user experience. By implementing agile project management and a user-centered development approach, we ensured that the platform aligned with both business objectives and user needs. We faced challenges like ensuring real-time data accuracy and system scalability, which offered valuable lessons for future iterations. For future improvements, we suggest enhancing the feedback mechanism.
