Effectiveness of Caloocan City Police Station East Bagong Silang Police Sub Station (Ss-13) in Implementation of War on Drugs

Abstract

After president Rodrigo Duterte won the 2016 presidential election, his first action was to focus
on fighting against illegal drugs. He paid more attention to it because drugs are said to be one
of the reasons for the constant increase in the number of crimes in our country. But most of our
countrymen still do not agree with the war on drugs because the number of deaths that they
connect to drugs is increasing, and others say that this is extra-judicial killing. So, the purpose
of this study is to find out if the war on drugs has been effective among people in the Bagong
Silang, whether they agree with it, and whether it has had a good effect on them or bad.

The results of the study about the effectiveness of Caloocan city police station east Bagong
Silang police substation (ss-13) in the implementation of the war on drugs show that most of
the respondents of the study strongly agree with the implementation of the war on drugs on
Bagong Silang and how the law enforcers implemented it in an effective way to lessen the
numbers of people who commit drugs. The researchers provide some findings to be utilized to
improve the implementation of the war on drugs.

The study revealed that the respondents “strongly agree” with the effectiveness of the
implementation of the war on drugs. We recommend this study to a group of people and
organizations at Bagong Silang Caloocan City so they can have knowledge about the war on
drugs and what strategies or plans they used to implement it. The researchers proposed an
action plan to “post negative effects of using prohibited drugs and its bad effects on the human
body” so they can be aware and not think of doing it.
