Abstract

Modern office equipment refers to those tools used in carrying out office work. The
researchers focused on the Modern Office Equipment, An Essential Tool for Improving Job
Performance of Employees at Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City: A Basis for Optimization.

The results revealed that the majority of the respondents were under 31 - 46 years of age. It
proves that 30% of them were already knowledgeable when using office equipment. Office
chairs & desks, filing cabinets, computers, and printers are essential tools that may improve
the job performance of employees in terms of their reliability and efficiency at work.
Employees using modern office equipment can create a better output with less time
consumption. Office equipment that is light and small enough to be easily carried or moved
can create high-quality output. In addition, employees with a calm esthetic desk and
maintaining good posture can reduce employees’ fatigue and stress. On the other hand, the
common problem of the respondents is the malfunction of equipment.

Based on these findings, the researchers may recommend maintaining the cleanliness of all
equipment, choosing high-quality instead of cheap quality in providing new equipment,
conducting office equipment training assessments for all employees, and removing some
outdated equipment that might cause some delays at work.
