Abstract

This study aimed to determine the perception of ABM students in using social media to
promote online business that would help businesses with the proposed recommendation.
Convenience sampling was employed at Bestlink College of the Philippines. Furthermore,
results showed reviews of products and the challenges experienced by the ABM Students in
using social media to promote online business with the help of proposed recommendations.
Based on the results of the study, the proposed recommendations of the perception of the
ABM Students in using social media in promoting online business help the beneficiary of this
study to recognize how to promote social media to gain customers and how to handle things in
promoting in social media in terms of Sales and Discount-based on the results costumers can
save up more money. Marketing Strategies Based on the result, customers will follow your
page when you give away products to new customers. Expectations vs. Reality- based on the
results, when the ratings of the page are higher, then the students trust the online business
and purchase products from them because they know that the product of that online business
is of good quality. Brand Awareness and Engagement Based on the results, when your online
business brand is popular, many people will buy from you. Challenges experienced by the
ABM Students in using social media to promote online business: This helps the beneficiaries
of the study determine what possible challenges they might experience while or when
promoting online business in social media. These challenges are experienced by buyer-
promoters in online businesses dealing with returns on items that are damaged or used.
Budgeting-promoters in online business might experience Unexpected expenses like medical
emergencies, tuition fees, and special occasions, which can affect the budget you set for your
business. Reviews of product consumers have less reason to trust them - Consumers have
been trained to look for ratings and reviews from third parties, where brands can’t hide
negative feedback and skew their ratings.
