Abstract

This company specializes in designing, manufacturing, trading, and supply of public seating and other kinds of furniture. This company was founded in 2008 and is located in Novaliches, Quezon City. It has 157 workers that are knowledgeable in fiberglass, metal, and wood furniture, with well-trained offices staff and a dynamic sales force. This company is the leading furniture manufacturer for public seating in the country and continuously provides high-quality products in the Philippines. The researchers want to review and enhance their current policies. The researchers perceived that the company will benefit from a reliable proposal in the study. The researchers visited the company and conducted a face-to-face interview with the Human Resource Department to gather data. The researchers were entrusted with a photocopy of the employee manual of the company. The researchers also visited the company several times with a formal letter signed by the adviser and dean of the SBA Department. Based on the gathered information and interview, the researchers identified presently implemented policies, including Honesty Policy, Smoking Policy, Attire Uniform, Identification Card, Exit Interview, Regular Work-day, Attendance, 201 Files, Time Keeping, Memorandum, Service Record, Undertime Request, Straight Time Slip, Overtime Authorization Slip, Filing of Application for Leave Absence, Overtime Pay, Vacation Leave, Reward and Recognition, Mandatory Benefits, Job Posting, Referrals, Probationary, Regular Employee, Paging System, Fire Alarms and Fire Extinguisher, Pantry, CCTV’s, Recreation Area, In-house Training, Outside Training, Orientation, Team Building, Promotion, Job Rotation, Retirement, Performance Evaluation, Commission, Open Door Policy, Job Description, and Disciplinary Actions. The researchers observed that the company will benefit if they will implement policies such as Free Internet Usage, Mobile Phone Policy, Good Grooming, Liquor Policy, Data Privacy, Birthday Leave, Personal Cash Advance, Seasonal Leave Conversion, Equal Opportunity, Seasonal Employment, Random Drug Testing, Occupational Health and Safety Program, Morning Zumba, Team Building, Transfer Work Policy, Employee Performance Program, Open Door Policy, Job Description Manual, Falsification of Documents, and Disciplinary Action.
