Abstract

Job satisfaction is defined as the level of contentment employees feel with their job. This
goes beyond their everyday duties to cover satisfaction with team members and managers,
satisfaction with organizational policies, and the impact of their jobs on employees’ personal
lives. The restaurant business is an extremely dynamic and competitive sector with a history
of significant employee turnover. Employee retention has become a top concern for
businesses in the sector as a result of this high turnover, which can be expensive for
employers and disruptive for customers. Understanding the degree of job satisfaction and
the variables that influence it can help firms create successful retention plans. This study
aims to measure the degree of job satisfaction among Oppa K-Grill employees in Fairview,
Quezon City, and determine the variables that affect it. The study's significance resides in its
capacity to advance knowledge regarding employee retention in the restaurant sector and
offer advice to Oppa K-Grill and other businesses.
According to the findings, job satisfaction among Oppa K-Grill employees in Fairview,
Quezon City, is generally moderate, with levels changing for various parts of the jobs. Job
satisfaction was found to be highly influenced by factors like salary, security, working
conditions, challenging work, feeling achievement, and the job itself, which has the most
effects. The results of this study are in line with earlier studies on satisfaction with work in
the restaurant sector, underscoring the need to take these aspects into account in staff
retention initiatives.
As a result, this study offers insightful information about the degree of job satisfaction and
the variables affecting it among Oppa K-Grill employees in Fairview, Quezon City. The
useful advice offered in this study can be used by businesses in the restaurant sector, like
Oppa K-Grill, to create staff retention programs that enhance job satisfaction and lower
turnover rates.
