Abstract

An Online Digital platform for the recruitment process is a type of Recruitment process that
makes the process efficient and easier with the online application. This study aims to
determine the perceived effectiveness of an online digital platform in the recruitment process
at Bestlink College of the Philippines, specifically in sourcing, screening, hiring, and training.
The current recruitment process of Bestlink College of the Philippines consists of a
manpower request form, job posting, outsourcing, messaging the qualified applicant for an
initial interview, filling out the employment application form, written examination, and
checking of the exam, then initial interview and messaging the qualified applicant to
schedule the interview with the department head which he or she needs to show a
demonstration of teaching. Some teaching personnel face challenges in online digital
platforms. The researchers aim to determine the perceived effectiveness among the
teaching personnel in the recruitment process on the online digital platform, particularly in
terms of the advantages of applying through the platform.
The result of the study revealed that most of the teaching personnel were 21-25 years old,
Males, with 1-3 length years of service in the College Department. Facebook, LinkedIn, and
Indeed were the three online digital platforms that were most frequently utilized for hiring.
The most popular technique for conducting virtual interviews was phone calls and Google
Meets, and the most frequent issue with the online digital platform for teaching personnel
was connectivity, which may have an impact on the hiring process.
The researchers recommend that since Facebook is the most preferred platform for looking
for a job, the school should ensure that it is used effectively by sharing regularly and job
posting. Schools should also collect feedback from a candidate who has gone through the
online recruitment process to identity areas for improvement and regularly review and
evaluate the effectiveness of their digital tools as a guide. Most teaching personnel believe
that the online recruitment process is made easier with online applications in the online
setting.
