Abstract

Nowadays, proper disposal is important to our generation because the world is experiencing global warming, pollution, diseases caused by garbage, flash floods, and other calamities. In school, most of the students are not aware of proper disposal, but we all knew that we can make a useful product by using solid waste. In Bestlink College of the Philippines, trashcans are placed in every room, in the food court, and everywhere. However, many of the students still leave their garbage anywhere. These students do not think about the possible effects of this habit because they know schools have utility workers and janitors. The primary objective of this study was to encourage students to be aware of their environment and teach them to throw their trash properly. The objectives of this study included protecting their health, reducing and reusing waste, safe disposal of waste, being creative, and decreasing the production of plastic bottles. We used the descriptive method as a research design. The researchers distributed survey questionnaires to gather data that will reflect how respondents perceive our research. Out of 50 Accountancy, Business, and Management students who were chosen as respondents, most agreed regarding the indicators based on the variables of this study for improving the proper disposal of plastic bottles in the food court. The researchers indicated that this study can effectively reduce, reuse, and recycle plastic bottles on the campus. This action research can also be enjoyable in disguise. The researchers encouraged the students to properly dispose of plastic bottles while enjoying how to do it at the same time.
