Abstract

A new healthy version of typical churros we know is the concept that inspired the researchers to innovate new flavors that will promote healthy eating habits. Therefore, the researchers came up with pumpkin-flavored churros. The study entitled “Level of Acceptability of Pumpkin Churros Among Grade 12 Students of Home Economics Strand at Bestlink College of the Philippines,S.Y. 2019–2020” focused on how the typical churros we know become more delicious but healthy by adding a new flavor and how it will be acceptable in the market. The researchers used the survey method to know that if the product will be sold in the market to get the respondents’ opinion regarding the pumpkin churros business. The researchers found out that most of the respondents prefer typical churros we know, while 60% of the respondents prefer typical churros because it is the traditional flavor of the pasta. With regard to price, the majority of the respondents chose the lowest price, and the price should be 15–20, with an average of 80%. Based on the information gathered by the researchers, the majority of the respondents accepted the new innovated flavors of churros. This result showed that the product pricing was affordable in the market. Therefore, this product is acceptable to the market.
