Acceptability Level of Squash Dough Chicken Empanada among Senior High School Students and HE/HRM Teachers in Bestlink College of the Philippines, S.Y. 2019–2020

We conducted this study to add raisins to the filling of the chicken empanada. We also want to try making chicken empanada that is affordable and has an appealing presentation that will satisfy the customers. Chicken empanada is a type of pastry that is stuffed with chicken meat, potato, carrots, and giniling. Chicken empanada is made by arranging the filling in the middle of the flattened dough and sealing it by pinching and folding the edges. Empanada can be either fried or baked. The primary concept of the business is to produce quality squash dough chicken empanada that is healthy and affordable. The researcher used a survey method to know the opinion of the people about our product and determine the possible outcome. In terms of location,65% of the respondents said that our stall is accessible, 35%of the respondents said that it is hot and uncomfortable. A total of 35%of the respondents said that our product is unsatisfying. A total of65%of the respondents said that the promotion strategy of our product was compatible, while 27%of the respondents said it was incompatible. In terms of the presentation, the respondents agreed that it has a pleasing appearance because it is colorful, attractive to the customer, and properly presented. The composite weighted mean of X1 and V1for the students was 4.22, with the verbal interpretation of very strongly agree (VSA).In terms of appearance, the composite weighted mean of X1 and V1for teachers was 4.26, with the verbal interpretation of strongly agree (SA). In terms of color, the composite weighted mean of X1 and V1 for students was 3.84, with the verbal interpretation of SA, while that of X1 and V1 for teachers was 4.1, with the verbal interpretation of SA. In terms of attractiveness, the composite weighted mean of X1 and V1 for students was 4.2, with the verbal interpretation of VSA, while that of X1 and V1 for teachers was 4.43, with the verbal interpretation of VSA. In terms of presentation, the composite weighted mean of X1 and V1 for students was 4.0, with the verbal interpretation of VSA, while that of X1 and V1 for teachers was 3.6, with the verbal interpretation of SA. For students, the composite weighted mean of X1and V1 was 3.16, with the verbal interpretation of SA, while that of X1 and V1 teachers was 3.63, with the verbal interpretation ofSA. The researchers concluded the majority of the two groups of respondents had the same perception of the acceptability level of squash dough chicken empanada. The researchers obtained the same good comments from the respondents, saying that the product has a rich smell and has good health benefits, such as vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B6, thiamin, and vitamin A. The respondents recommended decreasing the dough and fillings.
