The researchers found out that most of the students lacked sleep due to using cellphone excessively and wasting time doing something that is not necessary. Being late in class, feeling sleepy during the discussion, and not hearing the discussion clearly are some of the consequences that affect the students’ academic performance. The researchers recommended that students must sleep early and avoid using cellphone excessively and wasting time doing something that is not necessary. Students must think wisely and set a goal to give time to do their responsibility. Feeling sleepy during the discussion and not hearing the discussion clearly were the common problems encountered by the Grade 12 HUMSS Strand students. Avoid sleeping late and students sitting in front of the class to hear their discussion are the most recommended solutions.
