Enhancing Low Self-Esteem by Conducting Cheer Up Club among Grade 12 ABM Strand Students in Bestlink College of the Philippines, S.Y. 2019–2020

One of the goals of this action research was to provide knowledge for students who have low self-esteem and how to improve themselves. It is the best way to improve and enhance the weaknesses of the different students among grade 12 students in Bestlink College of the Philippines with low self-esteem. We created a club, which is Cheer Up Club, to help students with low self-esteem develop their hidden skills and talents and express themselves. Cheer Up Club is a club that has many curricular activities that can boost the students’ potential and develop them to become the best version of themselves. A qualitative method was used in this study using the descriptive research design. This study involved 50selected grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management Strandstudents. Low self-esteem or shyness among students is the main reason why they have low performances in class. It also affects the students’ personal communication with others because they received criticism or discrimination from their parents or even their family members.
