Abstract

Women silently suffer from abdominal cramps, fatigue, backache, feeling uncomfortable, and getting easily irritated. Almost every woman has had menstrual cramps. The pain caused by cramps can vary from being mild to severe. Thus, going to school while experiencing menstrual cramps is a nightmare. Women find it uncomfortable if they change in a comfort room, especially in school. Occasionally, female students see improper disposing of sanitary napkins in a trash bin, which makes them feel more uncomfortable. This study used the descriptive method. The researchers surveyed 50 selected grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management Strand students by distributing questionnaires. The researchers found out that most students saw a positive possible outcome of having a trash bin made of a plastic bottle. Students agreed that it can give an appealing surrounding, teach students how to dispose of napkins properly, and help the utilities to clean a comfort room. Resoinsenta showed that having an insufficient financial budget and people getting used to using plastic bags can hinder having trash bins. Students also acknowledged the advantages of recycling plastic bottles. First, it would not need a long time to clean. Second, for students’ responsibility, they will know how to dispose of a napkin. Lastly, for students’ health, they will feel comfortable in using a comfort room. Therefore, the result showed that using a plastic bottle in making a trash bin for napkins is effective. This study suggested that the students should be aware of their surroundings by being responsible for their waste. This study also needs student participation to ensure its effectiveness and success. This study can help to reduce used plastic bottles to create a useful trash bin. This study also aimed to teach students about sanitation and how to keep their surroundings clean and presentable.
