Visitor Management System in Novaliches Quezon City Public Library

Abstract

The library needs to be ready for change and use technology for better and efficient work productivity. The traditional way of recording the time-in and time-out may consume considerable time. We created a system that may fasten the operation of every facility in the library building, which is the visitor management system (VMS). This project will also help keep the record safe. The importance of the VMS is to monitor how many visitors are present, what will the purpose of the facility visit, and who will be the person listed in the blocklisted record due to rule violation. This system also ensures the security of the whole building. After the project was planned, we conducted more research regarding our project. Although we face complexity similar to what we mention in the risk management plan. In creating the system, the group gathered data on how to create a user-friendly design. For the functionality of the system, we also used our study learn to easy tasks. When you open the system, the first thing you can see is the admin log-in section. After, the admin can access the system by inputting his/her username and password. It will automatically go to the main dashboard of a system. The admin will input the information of a visitor and then save it. The data recorded will save automatically to a database. The system has admin log-in. The mainframe of the system contains various information that should be filled in before a visitor can access the library system. Different from other visitor management systems, our system is user-friendly and easy to understand and use. Lastly, the data record saved in the database has update, delete, and unblock options to easily manipulate and control the record.
