Assessment on Acceptability of Churros Avocado

Abstract

Avocado is useful as a part of the diet when aiming to control our weight. Avocado is high in calories, which means that a huge amount does not have to be eaten to obtain benefits. The name of the Spanish crispy snack that is served with melted chocolate is called churros. Churros is a fried-dough pastry-based snack that is usually eaten for breakfast after they become crunchy because of the frying. Sugar is sometimes sprinkled on top. The researchers chose churros avocado to have a unique product to improve the taste, aroma, nutritional value, competitiveness, and presentation by using avocado flavor. The experimental method was used here. A simple random technique was used to select the respondents. A simple random sample is meant to be an unbiased representation of a group. The researchers used a survey questionnaire to gather information. The results of the study showed that students had a total composite weighted mean of 3.73 for taste, 3.76 for aroma, 4.15for nutritional value, 4.29for competitiveness, and 4.30for presentation. The findings of the teachers’ assessment showed the composite weighted mean of 3.82 for taste, 4.15 for aroma, 4.33 for nutritional value,4.53 for competitiveness, and 4.6 for presentation. The students had a total composite weighted mean of 4.05, which had a verbal interpretation of strongly agree. The teachers had the total composite weighted mean of 4.3, which had the verbal interpretation of strongly agree. The teachers and students said that churros avocado is a unique product compared with the other group. The researchers are willing to improve the product by using some information that they have gathered about churros and avocado to make it acceptable.
