LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULING SYSTEM WITH MONITORING AND REPORTING ON VEHICLES

Abstract

Current logistics systems face multiple challenges in transportation and fleet management, including inefficient delivery scheduling that leads to delays and inadequate vehicle maintenance tracking. A transportation scheduling system with integrated monitoring and reporting is a crucial solution. This software enhances operational efficiency, reduces costs, improves customer satisfaction, and ensures regulatory compliance by optimizing scheduling, simplifying vehicle monitoring, and providing comprehensive reporting. The objective of this project is to assess and implement a system that improves fleet tracking and transportation management, ultimately strengthening competitiveness through infrastructure development and service expansion. The researchers utilized secondary sources, such as journal articles and academic books, to gather relevant information on transportation scheduling systems with monitoring and reporting features. The study employed the Agile Methodology, which promotes high collaboration and efficiency in transportation and fleet management. This approach allowed for the collection of stakeholder input and ensured flexibility and adaptability throughout the development process. The implementation of domain hosting and cloud services contributed to the success of the transportation scheduling system with monitoring and reporting on vehicles. Drivers could access a portal to check delivery details, employees could monitor and report on vehicle status more efficiently, and transportation scheduling became clearer and more accurate. Additionally, administrators could easily access and manage system information. The findings demonstrate that the automated system significantly improves transportation scheduling and vehicle monitoring. The system enhances efficiency, reduces costs, and improves customer service. It also offers greater security, accuracy, and operational stability for organizations seeking a reliable and streamlined transportation management solution.
