Alternative modes of transportation provide a practical solution for commuters facing heavy traffic in Quezon City. Private rental services such as Grab, Joyride, habal-habal, and carpooling offer convenient options. Metro Manila’s dense population contributes to severe public transportation challenges, emphasizing the need for environmentally friendly alternatives such as walking, cycling, and public transit. This study explores how factors like cost, accessibility, safety, and user experience impact the effectiveness of alternative transportation options for commuters. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of alternative transportation for commuters in Quezon City using a descriptive research method. A total of 100 randomly selected commuters participated in the study. The findings indicate that respondents frequently use alternative transport services such as Joyride and Angkas, rating them as highly effective. Respondents evaluated these services based on security, convenience, flexibility, and cost. However, common challenges were identified, including discomfort with helmets and limited space in top boxes. An improvement plan is proposed to enhance alternative transport services. The study recommends that commuters maximize these transportation options for their convenience and accessibility. Findings suggest that alternative transport services offer significant benefits for both users and service providers. To improve user experience, strategic solutions should be implemented, including investments in infrastructure, safety measures, and policy enhancements. Ensuring accessibility and affordability will prevent excessive fare increases while optimizing transport efficiency in Quezon City.
