Abstract

This study aims to assess the sustainability of San Rafael River Adventure as a tourist attraction in San Rafael, Bulacan, focusing on smart destination management, seasonality management, tourist experience, and carrying capacity. The study utilized a descriptive research method and surveyed fifty (50) purposively selected tourists at San Rafael River Adventure. The study findings indicate that while the sustainability of San Rafael River Adventure is generally rated as "sustainable" in terms of smart destination, seasonality management, tourist experience, and carrying capacity, several challenges were identified. These include issues related to overcrowding, maintenance and cleanliness, lack of training and resources, refund and compensation disputes, health and safety concerns, and the presence of insects and wildlife. Based on these findings, a development plan can be proposed to further improve the sustainability of San Rafael River Adventure as a tourist attraction. The study recommends that the resort continuously maintain its sustainability as a tourist attraction. Enhancements should be made in smart destination management, seasonality management, tourist experience, and carrying capacity. It is essential for the resort to implement various activities for visitors and develop a structured management plan to attract more tourists.
