Abstract

The Computerized Library Information System helps the librarian to easily store, update, or manage the data/information, as well as prevent loss or stolen data, especially when it is needed inside the library. It also includes the circulation of the library, such as the data of borrowed/returned books, a list of books, and reports inside the library. It helps the librarian and students to run the circulation properly or the flow of the system inside the library. The system also facilitates easy and instant access for the client who will visit and borrow books in the library, thereby giving more personal time for the librarian. This system is a lifetime functional system with creative visual features to reflect the effort the researchers need to manage every day. The researchers do not need to give all their effort only to organize the hardest way to make the process inside the library smooth. The data are also absolutely secured because the security has been installed in the system to ease the worries of the librarian. The Computer Based Library Information System is composed of four portals, namely, Add Books, Borrowers, Manage User, and Audit Trail. This system runs when books are displayed. The user should log in first before accessing these portals. However, there are three users, that is, the Admin, Mandatory, and the user. These users have specific portals that they can only access in the system. Add Books is composed of the information about the book that will be placed in the library. The Borrowers portal is where the teachers and students do their transactions with the librarian. The Manage User portal is where the user manages their role inside the library. Lastly, the Audit trail is the one that saves the recent history of the clients with the user to have a record and to know who among the user transacts recently. System development life cycle is one of our bases to be able to proceed to the next phase. Each information is analyzed especially with the relevant idea that is taken from the Internet to help these functions that should be the focus and continue to the next step. Everything the students do is accurately recorded with the help of the system.
