Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of competency of BSHM graduates toward
employment readiness in terms of demographics, soft skills, and hard skills.


In terms of soft skills, it is "very competent," while the level of competency of BSHM graduates
A. Y 2021-2022 in terms of hard skills is "moderately competent." the problems encountered
by the BSHM graduates while working in the hospitality industry is meeting guest expectation
which is constantly changing depending on the wants and needs of a customer.


BSHM graduates should maintain a high value on soft skills, especially in the hospitality
industry, where it can create a positive overall guest experience that helps them find new
opportunities and advance their careers. Hospitality graduates must develop their skills and
knowledge by participating in seminars that can develop their skills in performing specific
tasks to be more efficient. The hospitality sector should provide training and quality education
for graduating students of BSHM to prepare themselves with the latest trends in the industry
and sustain the level of competency of BSHM graduates to keep up with the competition.
