Abstract

One of the largest motorcycle dealerships in the Philippines is XYZ Motor Sales Corporation.
Information and Communication Technology is one of their tools to operate a business. In
this study, the researchers want to Assess the Records System EBT Technology at XYZ
Motor Sales Corporation in Caloocan City Towards Improved Communication. The
researchers also want to know if there is a significant factor between information
technologies and communication in business.
In a demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, most of the respondents are
ages 24-29 years old, and in terms of job position, the majority of the respondents are
Accounting Staff. The current state of communication process in place at XYZ Motor Sales
corporation in terms of Efficiency, Information technology helps employees to record
information of customers faster, 3.95 weighted mean and got the interpretation of strongly
agree. The software applications for data collection can be easily accessed by managers
and employees with a 3.75 weighted mean, interpreted as strongly agreeable, and in terms
of user-friendly communication tools. EBT technology helps the different branches of XYZ
Motor Sales Corporation in terms of data collection. The information technology makes
organizing data much easier, got a 3.85 weighted mean, interpreted as strongly agree and
able to transfer needed reports to the head office efficiently using information technology got
a 3.75 weighted mean, with the interpretation of strongly agree in terms of generating
reports. In problems encountered by the respondents, system issues or downtime in EBT
have a 3.65 weighted mean, interpreted as strongly agreeable.
The researchers crafted a recommendation based on the findings: regardless of age,
employees may have equal opportunities to be trained on how to use ICT and have
training/seminars to attend. The employees may acquire the skill to use ICT for them to able
to organize important data more easily. The company may make sure that the EBT/tools are
accessible. The company may provide enough technologies, such as computers, laptops,
etc., to make the employees work faster.
