Feasibility Study on Establishment of Sky Haven Funeral and Massage at Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City

Abstract

Different from other funeral services, the researchers used the concept of a funeral with massage to help the customers or relatives of a dead person to calm themselves from feelings of pain and being down and reduce their stress by giving them a free massage while he/she on the front of the burial. The business will provide full service, that is, funeral home and death care provider that aids families through their loss. The research method used was the descriptive research method. The researchers determined the growth in the funeral industry by surveying 100 respondents composed of the target market of the business, that is, the residents of Commonwealth Avenue Quezon City and the nearby area of the proposed location. The purpose of this survey was to identify if the massage service will apply to funeral services. This study also used the financial statement to determine the business capability in terms of earning and meeting its obligation. The result of this study showed that the business will be successful in 1 year of operation based on the financial analysis and return of investment. The business is the only funeral to Commonwealth Avenue. Based on the latest statistics, the death rate in Quezon city is 71.8%. Thus, the proposed business is feasible, and the probability of the income is high. The customers will purchase the service offered because it is affordable and has a unique concept by giving them free massage if they avail any of the packages and giving them satisfying service. The researchers found out that the business has a strong impact on the target market. The researchers can offer a more convenient service or price to maximize the profit and utilize the income garnered productively for the business to thrive. The business may expand after 5 years of operation through a franchisor-franchisee agreement.
