Abstract

Classroom management creates a set of expectations used in an organized classroom environment. It includes routines, rules, and consequences. It is used to make the students organized, focused, attentive, and academically productive. This study aims to improve the effective use of classroom management techniques that can significantly decrease disruptions in the class. The importance of this study is to know if there are possibilities in improving the existing classroom rules and regulations. The researchers used descriptive design as one of the easiest methods to apply for a research study when analyzing the gathered data. A survey questionnaire was used; this instrument aims to directly identify participants’ feelings and opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of classroom rules and regulations to improve the classroom management of 50 Grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management class officers that were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, implementing general classroom rules and regulations effectively help grade 12 class officers in terms of (1) compliance to academic activities, which directly affects the students to become responsible students in terms of their studies, (2) compliance to social responsibilities, which helps them become a good leader and become an influencer to other students, and (3) maintain proper behavior inside the classroom, that is, students knowing their limitations inside the classroom and becoming responsible students. The impact of implementing general rules and regulations has positive effects on the class officers. To have better classroom management, students should follow all the regulations inside the classroom. In compliance with the academic activities, students should be more responsible for their studies to become productive. In compliance with social responsibilities, students should be good leader and maintain proper behavior inside the classroom knowing the rules and regulations and become a good student.
