Providing Class Schedule Sticker on I.D. of Senior High School Students as Effective Tool in Eliminating Instances of Cutting Classes

Abstract

This study provides a class schedule sticker to improve the monitoring process of the school personnel to all senior high school students. This action plan has been implemented and tested to the entire grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strand. This study aimed to lessen the percentage of students that cut classes. Quantitative research was used in the study. The type of quantitative research used was quasi-experimental design, which involves the manipulation of the independent variable to observe its effect on the dependent variable. The researcher also used a survey method to easily gather or collect data. The researcher used convenience sampling in selecting 50Grade 12 ABM students as respondents. Based on the results of the study, providing a class schedule sticker in the IDs of students was an effective tool in the compliance of senior high school students to follow proper class schedules and to promote the following. (1) Monitor class schedule–it organizes the process of monitoring class schedule to lessen the cutting classes. Identifying their class schedule will help the students organize their schedules and help the students know when to wear their specific uniforms. (2) Avoid cutting classes –Discipline the students in following their class schedule and make them wear their school uniform properly (3) Uniforms –maintain the discipline of the students in wearing their uniforms during class schedules. The result of this study showed that more restrictions are needed to properly monitor students. The teachers must impose and implement the checking of proper school attire during classes. The school administrators can easily monitor the proper uniform based on the provided class schedule.
