Abstract

A client-server model is defined as the relationship between two computer programs that communicate with each other. The clients initiate the communication by sending service requests to the servers. They are typically personal computers (PCs) with network software applications installed. During the planning stage, researchers prepared the questionnaire for their client to gather information about the problems they encountered without the use of a server. The researchers analyzed the information about the computer who has a high specification for the server computer to perform it to produce a high-quality service. A server is faster than the clients when sharing files and has privacy to the files users share. A server directly sends it to the clients who need it. The client sends the request to the server and the server responds to the request and returns to the client with data. In this process, the client is the requester, and the server is used as a service provider. In the client-server system, data processing is being handled by the server, and the response is provided to the client. Having a server PC is easier and secure. Before the client uses a peer-to-peer network, the security of the files or data is not secured because other clients can oversee your files. After all, PCs are connected. When client one sends a file to client three, the data cannot be directed to the client, and client two is the first one who can oversee the data before client three. The privacy for securing data is low. However, when the server is established, the client can control the clients to secure their data. The client is the only one who has an access to the server, but clients do not have access. The server featured higher-powered central processors, more memory, and larger disk drives than client devices. The researcher’s client set up a client-server to secure the files and monitored what the user is doing. The researcher also added a guide in purchasing a high specification computer as a server. It is the way to inform the researcher’s clients that they need to choose a good-quality computer and discuss how to install the server; it is a step-by-step procedure to set up the server properly. Or how many computers are needed to connect to a server. The maximum number of clients that can be connected to a server is approximately 10–12 clients because the main problem with this architecture is that server cannot respond to multiple requests of the client. As a result, it causes data integrity issues in the system.
