Proposed Students Medical Record System for Bestlink College of the Philippines

Abstract

Bestlink College of the Philippines’s clinic has its method of keeping students’ medical records to maintain an organized record. The purpose of the proposed system was to improve the current situation of the school clinic to improve difficult tasks in a simple way. The researchers are committed to meet the demands of the user once the problems arise. The researchers analyzed the current situation in the school clinic to provide the appropriate solution to the problem. The researchers discovered that Bestlink College of The Philippines clinic has problems searching the student’s records because the school uses Microsoft Excel. The school can search the information easily in Microsoft Excel. However, once the user searches the surname of the student, similar results will appear. The method that the researchers used was the systems development life cycle method to follow the schedule on time to allow the school to track the given steps on how to document or finish the research on time. The results of our research project lacked few pieces of information and functions on the system. The researchers completed the first attempt on how to solve the problems by using SLDC. The researchers started again from the beginning and added various features to the proposed system. The researchers concluded that the medical record system is a system that includes all the medical information of the student. Additional research should be conducted to provide more functions to the system to upgrade this research project. This work can be utilized for future systems made by other researchers who will study a medical record system.
