Abstract

Pineapple cupcake with spicy topping has vitamins and is a healthy product for kids and adults. It can be presented at any event, such as meetings and birthdays. The researchers chose this product to make a cupcake with a new flavor, give the customers other options, and convince them that cupcakes can also be spicy. Pineapple-flavored cupcakes are filled with fresh pineapple and topped with coconut buttercream and toasted coconut. It also has buttercream pineapple on top. Cakes and cupcakes are generally made by mixing flour and sugar, which are excellent sources of carbohydrates. They can provide the entire body, including muscles, brain, and nervous system, with a sufficient amount of energy. A quantitative method was used in the study. The researchers also used descriptive research design to determine the acceptability level of spicy pineapple cupcakes with vanilla extract among Grade 12 Home Economics (HE) Strandstudents.The following four factors were considered to determine the acceptability of pineapple cupcakes: presentation, taste, texture, and feasibility. The following four variables were identified for this product: texture, taste, presentation, and nutritional value. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 50 selected Grade 12 HE Strand students through single random sampling. The composite grand mean for the students and teachers was3.77 (strongly agree). In terms of texture, the weighted mean was 3.79 (strongly agree). In terms of competitiveness, theweighted mean was 3.85 (strongly agree). The total average weighted means 3.85, with the verbal interpretation of strongly agree. However, in terms of the taste, the weighted mean for the teachers was 4.8 (strongly agree). In terms of texture, the weighted mean was 3.93 (strongly agree). In terms of competitiveness, the weighted mean was 3.93 (strongly agree). In terms of nutritional value, the weighted mean was 3.93 (strongly agree).In terms of the nutritional value, the weighted mean was 4.1 (strongly agree). The total average weighted mean was 4.1, with the verbal interpretation of strongly agree. This study focused on the assessment of the acceptability level of pineapple cupcakes with vanilla extract among Grade 12 HE Strand students and HE teachers in Bestlink collage of the Philippines.
