Abstract

A restaurant management system plays a crucial role in overseeing essential operations such as menu creation, order processing, and payment transactions within the hospitality industry. However, inefficiencies in these systems can lead to slow performance, causing delays in taking orders and processing payments. Such delays not only extend customer wait times but also disrupt overall restaurant efficiency. As a result, customer satisfaction may decline, and operational workflow can become less streamlined, ultimately affecting the restaurant’s profitability and reputation. The project team’s adoption of an agile approach in developing the restaurant management system follows a dynamic and iterative process. This begins with gathering crucial information through stakeholder interviews, direct observations of restaurant operations, and close collaboration with restaurant owners, managers, and staff. Once collected, the team analyzes and prioritizes the data to determine the essential features the system must include. These features focus on optimizing menu management, enhancing point-of-sale transactions, and streamlining order processing to improve overall efficiency. The project team's adoption of an agile approach in developing the restaurant management system involves a dynamic and iterative process. After collecting this data, the team analyzes and prioritizes it to identify the essential features that the system must include. These features focus on optimizing menu management, enhancing point-of-sale transactions, and streamlining order processing to improve overall efficiency. The new restaurant management system has not only improved operational efficiency but also introduced innovative features that enhance safety, productivity, and overall restaurant success. One of its key benefits is the emphasis on safety measures. With features like contactless ordering, digital payment options, and electronic menu displays, restaurants can create a safer dining environment for both customers and staff, particularly in response to health and safety concerns.
