YOUTUBE PODCAST: COPING MECHANISM OF ANXIETY ATTACKS AMONG STEM STUDENTS IN BESTLINK COLLEGE OF THE PHILIPPINES

Anxiety attacks are increasingly common among students, often hindering their academic success and personal well-being. With the growing influence of digital media, YouTube podcasts have emerged as a promising avenue for anxiety management and support. The study utilized a quantitative research design, where surveys were manually distributed to gather data on students’ perceptions. The survey results reveal that respondents experience anxiety at an average level, with a grand mean score of 3.7. When evaluating the developed podcast, participants rated its content and clarity highly, each receiving a grand mean of 3.9. The podcast’s originality earned a grand mean of 3.8. Furthermore, respondents indicated that the podcast helped them cope with anxiety, with a grand mean rating of 3.5. Overall, these findings suggest that the YouTube podcast serves as an effective tool for managing anxiety by providing relaxation techniques, mindfulness exercises, and emotional support to students. This study investigates how effective YouTube podcasts are in helping Senior High School STEM students cope with anxiety attacks. The research involved Grade 11 and 12 students from Bestlink College of the Philippines who regularly listen to YouTube podcasts for anxiety relief. It identifies important factors such as the quality, clarity, and originality of content that influence students’ satisfaction with these podcasts. The study also highlights the significance of well-designed content in maximizing the impact of digital mental health resources.
